Michelle Marie LeBlancJoin us for the Opening Reception – Networking Meet and Greet, a lively event in the Nova Scotia Ballroom. Kickstart the conference with light refreshments, live music by Michelle Marie Leblanc, and an opportunity to catch up with your municipal colleagues and our vendors.

This is the perfect occasion to network, meet counterparts within municipal government, and enjoy a variety of drink options from the cash bar.

Feel free to take advantage of the cash bar, where alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options will also be available. Additionally, one drink ticket for this event can be found in your conference badge, ensuring you can enjoy a complimentary beverage as you mingle and connect with fellow attendees.

TATA Brew will also be set up for a tasting will be set up and complimentary for guests. The Resort will stock the corresponding beers from the tasting onsite which would be available to purchase for the evening through our bar.

Axe Throwing

Experience the thrill of axe throwing amidst the vibrant atmosphere of our unique Sporting Lodge. Each session lasts for 90 minutes, providing ample time to perfect your aim and unleash your inner lumberjack. With a maximum of 24 people per session, gather your friends and colleagues for an unforgettable axe throwing experience.

Gentle Movement Session - Props to the Chair

Chairs can release tightness and tension, build strength, and increase range of motion. Join Barb Shaw for a dynamic 45-minute session using chairs as yoga props. Suitable for all ages and abilities, with modifications and laughter encouraged. Please wear loose clothing. About Barb Shaw: A yoga facilitator for 25 years, Barb loves teaching mindfulness and mobility. Currently obsessed with aging gracefully.

Jost Vineyards Tour

Join us for an exclusive Jost Vineyards Tour.

Experience the scenic beauty of Nova Scotia's renowned vineyard as we embark on a journey of discovery and indulgence. you will board a bus departing from Fox Harbour and venture to Jost Vineyards, where you'll be greeted with the refreshing Selkie Rose and joined by Sven, the Vineyard Manager, for an insightful tour and chat as you wander through the lush vineyard grounds, soaking in the picturesque surroundings. Following the tour, gather underneath our covered patio for a delightful wine tasting led by Nick, the Retail Manager. Sample a selection of their finest wines and uncover the unique flavours that define our vineyard's signature blends. Please note: additional costs apply for the wine tasting ($15 per person (plus tax) with a 20% gratuity included). They accept debit and all major credit cards for payment.

Healthy Selfie Challenge

Municipal Wellness Day falls on May 23rd. To commemorate this occasion, we're inviting everyone to join us in celebrating Municipal Wellness Week with our Healthy Selfie Challenge! Capture your personal wellness journey by snapping a selfie highlighting aspects of physical, mental, workplace, financial, or social wellness. Simply email your selfie to with the subject line, Healthy Selfie, between May 20th and May 24th for a chance to win exciting daily prizes. Please include a brief description. Entries will be evaluated by the Municipal Wellness Committee, and category winners will be announced on May 27th. Additionally, all participants will be entered into a grand prize draw for a chance to win a Fitbit Versa 4! More information can be found on the tables in front of you.
